Assertiveness Skills
This course can be delivered as a half day, one day or two day programme. Being assertive does not come naturally to most of us. We may prefer to brush it all under the carpet (submissive), or fight back (aggressive). That's not to say we can't be assertive (honest and confident) but we can find it uncomfortable. This course is for anyone who would like to feel more confident dealing with other people, whether you are at the bottom of your career ladder or near the top.
Topics Covered *
- Understanding the different behaviours and what each of them looks like, sounds like and feels like
- Johari Window and self-awareness
- Bill of Rights - the moral rights that we should stand up for
- Confidence - where we can get our confidence from
- Self-talk - how our thoughts affect our feelings and our behaviour
